they who had been characterised by round, ”womanly”
forms for the last hundred years.

The
ideal changes
For nearly a hundred
years the pin-up girl was synonymous with wide hips, noticeable
breasts and apple cheeks, but around the millennium the erotic
ideal began to change significantly. As obesity spread into a
worldwide epidemic, the interest in very slender models began
to grow.
